What you need to know before diving with us
Please review carefully
- You must be a certified diver.
- Diving is a sport with risks. Each participant will be asked to sign release forms including thee following: Shared Adventure Yours Liability Release, Safe Diving Practices, Travel and Excursion Release and the SAT No Decompression Diving Policy.
- You must be in good health. If you have a condition which could require you to answer "yes" to any of the questions on the following form, you will need a Doctor's sign off. Medical Form
- We require all divers to have dive insurance (DAN or Dive Assure)
- Your gear must be serviced before you leave. Take your gear to a reputable shop with certified technicians to ensure it is in proper working condition. We can not guarantee the resort will have the ability to service your gear if a problem is encountered.
- We require all divers to use a dive computer. We strongly recommend that you understand how your dive computer operates. While we can help with many, we are not familiar with all. Make sure you bring the instruction manual.
- We do not encourage decompression diving. We require that you stay within recreational dive limits and dive by your computers NDL (No Decompression Limits). However, if your computer indicates that you have a decompression obligation, you must follow the computer guidelines to safely return to the surface. Failure to do so, resulting in your computer locking out, you will be required to cease diving and follow the manufacturers guideline to return the computer to normal operation.
- Refresh your skills - If it has been a while since you have been in the water, schedule a Scuba Review with a dive shop.
- Understand the type of diving we will be doing - Most of our trips are for all levels of diver, but some will require more experience and training. We do our best to provide that information in our travel information session. If in doubt whether a trip is appropriate for your skill level, please ask and we can review with you.
- Dive within your limitations - Some of the dives on the trip could be out of your comfort level. Never hesitate to let us and the divemasters know if you are not comfortable.
- We require that you abide by the PADI Safe Diving Practices which we will review with you - Safety is our number one priority when diving. We enforce the PADI Safe Diving Practices.
- We enforce buddy diving - All divers must have a buddy and abide by buddy diving rules. Traveling single? No problem. Let us know if you need a buddy and we/or the dive operator will make sure you have one.
